What Our Fake Review Detector Checks

  • Reviews About a Different Product

Reviews describing another item, from merged listings or review hijacking.

  • Disclosed Free Products

Reviewers saying they got the item free or discounted for a review. Amazon Vine is excluded.

  • Near-Identical Reviews

Several reviews sharing the same distinctive wording, like a script.

  • Text Copied From Other Products

Reviews that also appear word for word on other products.

  • Review Burst

5-star reviews suddenly arriving much faster than usual.

  • Rising 1-Star Share

Recent reviews far more negative than the product's lifetime mix.

  • Removed Reviews

Ratings or reviews disappearing between checks.

What You'll See

  • Trust Score and FakeFind Rating

A score from 1 to 10 for how much you can trust the reviews, plus the star rating recalculated without the suspicious ones.

  • Pros and Cons

What reviewers like and dislike, and how many of them say so.

  • Trusted Alternatives

Similar products whose reviews you can trust.

  • Advanced Insights (Premium)

A deeper report on the reviews, the seller, the price and the rating over time.

The Trust Score rates the reviews, not the product.

Why the Star Rating Isn't Enough

Amazon blocks hundreds of millions of suspected fake reviews a year. Plenty still reach product pages, many with the Verified Purchase badge.

The Free Fakespot Alternative

Fakespot shut down on July 1, 2025. ReviewMeta went offline in early 2026. FakeFind replaces both: paste a link, no account, and you get a Trust Score and the FakeFind Rating.

Free to Use. Scores Aren't for Sale.

  • Checking a product is free and needs no account.
  • FakeFind earns affiliate commissions when you buy through its links. Commissions never change a score.
  • Sellers and brands can't pay for a score.
  • Premium adds deeper reports and never changes a score.

Guides to Fake Amazon Reviews

Common Questions

How do I check if Amazon reviews are fake?

Paste the Amazon product link into FakeFind and press Analyze. FakeFind checks the reviews for warning signs, including review bursts, near-identical wording, text copied from other products and reviews about a different product. In under a minute you get a Trust Score from 1 to 10 and the FakeFind Rating.

Is FakeFind free?

Yes. Checking a product is free, with no account and no limit. FakeFind earns affiliate commissions when you buy through its links, and an optional Premium plan adds deeper reports. Neither commissions nor Premium change a score.

How reliable is the Trust Score?

The Trust Score is built from documented warning signs, listed on the How It Works page. It rates the reviews, not the product, and it only uses what is on the product's own reviews. When there are too few reviews to judge, FakeFind shows N/A instead of a guess.

Is FakeFind a Fakespot alternative?

Yes. Fakespot shut down on July 1, 2025. FakeFind does what Fakespot did, a paste-a-link grade and an adjusted star rating, and adds pros and cons from the reviews and Trusted Alternatives.

Which Amazon stores does FakeFind support?

Amazon in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and Poland. Results are in English; quoted reviews stay in their original language.

Does FakeFind work on my phone or in Chrome?

Yes. On your phone, tap Share in the Amazon app, copy the link and paste it into fakefind.ai. On desktop, paste it into fakefind.ai in any browser. A Chrome extension and a Firefox add-on are coming soon.
